Our Board of Directors

Nancy Fox (Vice President):
Nancy Fox has served as a Council board member since 2011, currently completing her second term. Nancy has over 20 years’ combined experience in industrial hygiene, and health and safety management. She is a certified industrial hygienist (CIH) by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. The CIH is considered the gold standard of health and safety professional certifications. Nancy possess a bachelor’s degree in geology (BS), with a minor in Spanish and a master’s of science degree in public health (MSPH) (specialty area industrial hygiene) both from the University of Utah. Early in her career, Nancy experienced a personal workplace safety incident, prompting her to pursue a profession in health and safety, including graduate level education in that field. She remains strongly committed to accident, injury, and illness prevention both on and off the job. She is currently working as a Workplace Specialist, (career/job readiness counseling and case management) with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, in Jackson Wyoming. In addition, she provides occupational health and safety and strategic planning consultation on a part time basis.

Joseph Marek (Treasurer):
Mr. Marek is Vice President and Financial Advisor with RBC Wealth Management in Cheyenne Wyoming where he has worked for twenty–four years. Joe has served on several Boards in our community. Joe’s friends say he has a keen insight for dealing with people and difficult issues and the ability to bring good sense and humor to any situation.

Robert E. (Bob) Lick (Secretary):
Bob was raised in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Although he has resided in rural southeastern Wyoming since 1994 he continues to consider himself a Jersey Shore guy. Bob’s career in engineering began at RCA Home Instruments, then to RCA Defense Electronics. This was followed by twelve years of contract and consulting engineering in many and varying disciplines with the culmination at DuPont Corporation in Wilmington, Delaware. Bob retired from DuPont RTP, North Carolina in 1991. Bob is very happily married to his wife Joanne. They have four children, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Carole Shafer (President):
Ms. Shafer is the Director for Workforce and Community Development at Gillette College. Before taking the job in Gillette Carole was the Director of Workforce and Community Development at Western Wyoming Community College in Green River Wyoming. Carole has a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communication. Carole has served on many local, state, and national Boards, and Committee’s.
